BOLD STATEMENTS AT EXPO CHICAGO:
Chicago’s fourth annual EXPO CHICAGO was unlike anything I have ever experienced before with bold pieces accompanied with bold fashion! It was truly awe-inspring, filled with more than 3,000 artists exhibiting their work from over 16 countries and 47 cities. Highlighting contemporary and modern art, I spent the evening getting lost in the galleries and collections. I felt myself overwhelmed with inspiration for clothing, projects, handbags, and most importantly art for my home. It was a memorable event that I attended with my two favorite ladies, Monika Dixon of Monika Dixon PR and Elina Casell Hjalmarsson of ElinaCasell.com – who looked absolutely fabulous!
I got ready for the evening with DreamDry in Lincoln Park, who created this amazing sleek ponytail. This Valentino black and white long sleeve sequin dress was perfect for the setting. It was eloquent with a twist of art! Together, the look came to life and collaborated well with the pieces on display. I kept the accessories simple with Jimmy Choo shoes (which were a perfect complement to the dress), and a small white lucite with black Swarovski crystals Chanel clutch.
Until next year, Expo Chicago! For now, I will be thinking of ways to incorporate my favorite artwork from the show into my house.
