#ONECHICAGO – Monday night I was fortunate enough to be invited to NBC’s Chicago Series Fall Kickoff Party! The cast and crew of Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, and Chicago Justice celebrated the growing franchise with a star-studded press event.
Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide?! Be still my beating heart. Let’s not forget about Sophia Bush. I’ve harbored a girl crush on her since her days as Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill. Held at the trendy and luxe Swift & Sons, the night was an enchanting night of Who’s Who.
Upon entering the party, I was taken away by event’s beautiful attention to detail. Gorgeous displays of white hydrangeas, roses, tulips and baby’s breath by Debi Lilly garnished the already chic space. While guests sipped on their beverage of choice, waiters passed out an array of delectable hors d’oeuvres that were to die for. Swift & Son’s did not hold back on their spread.
Unbelievably delicious baked goods were custom made for the event by Sugar Hills Bakery. An array of cookies with each show’s logo printed into the icing took over an entire table at the entrance. And the main event: the fire engine cake. After Dick Wolf made his heartfelt speech, the cast of Chicago Fire cut the intricately designed cake (aka piece of art) in honor of their 100th episode.
My favorite part, however, was the red carpet. The flashes from the paparazzi’s cameras illuminated the room while celebs donned big smiles and pearly whites. The night was the perfect mix of elegance and excitement.
I’m still in awe of this star studded affair. A Monday night could not be better well spent celebrating some of my favorite TV series!
Sneak peek from the night!
